Thursday 5th November - walk ***** - Felixstowe – Landguard circuit –
sunny and still.
Lockdown Two, day one – not sure what the score about windsurfing is but
it looks OK to go and I think even Levington Marina is still open,
haven’t got to worry about that as in a spell of light winds although
tomorrow is looking promising for a foil! So today it was back to my
exercises, lunch and then Mag and I decide on a walk over our bikes. We
drive down to The Manor and park by the caravans as the car park is now
pay:( Walking up onto the small hill/dune that is the backbone of Landguard
Nature Reserve which offers lovely views of the beach one side and the
docks the other. The sun is beginning to come back and we have some
fantastic clouds, perfect for walking, quiet too:) Taking the path to the
Dock view point we are entertained by the starlings being feed by people
from their cars! Then along the beach with a small survey boat working and
the odd yacht reaching the small jetty. Continuing onto Landguard beach
always lovely. A long stretch of single/sand with the odd wagtail The wind
goes light and it is stunning, Mag spots a seal, the ferry comes in and a
coaster leaves. Then back along the bottom of the sea wall to the van. I got
a great set of photos too:)
